07 Nov The Alliance welcomes FOC National Meeting
The Alliance Financial Opportunity Center (FOC) welcomed participants from the Bridges to Career Opportunities National Meeting this week, offering an office tour and overview of our many programs and services. The three-day conference brought together FOC representatives from across the country to share best practices for improving the financial health and well-being of local communities.
The Alliance FOC Program Manager Esther James was selected to help with the meeting coordination. FOC staff provided an office tour to about 100 conference attendees, sharing information about the organization’s wrap-around programs and the FOC’s commitment to helping residents of the Greater Houston area meet their financial goals.
FOCs are an initiative of the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), which equips struggling communities with the capital, strategy and know-how to become places where people can thrive. Working with local leaders, LISC invests in housing, health, education, public safety and employment to empower local communities.
