Alliance Language Network

Overview

Alliance Language Network is a social enterprise program at The Alliance founded in 1996. The program was born out of a need for translation and interpretation services in the community. There was a supply of qualified, talented interpreters and translators in the refugee and immigrant community already! Alliance Language Network asked the question: What if you could make refugees and immigrants feel like a part of society by using the one thing they know so well – their native language? Thus, Alliance Language Network became a reality.

In a competitive interpretation industry, the Alliance Language Network stands out for offering interpretation and translation services in over 70 languages. The program contracts over 140 experienced interpreters, the majority of whom are former refugees, who serve clients in various sectors. Our clients include county departments, local courts, corporations, private clinics, juvenile detention centers, school districts, other non-profit agencies.
